Q: What amenities are standard in a Texas apartment?
A: You can expect to have a refrigerator, stove/oven, garbage disposal, and dishwasher included in the rent of your apartment. Many communities also include a microwave oven, but this can vary. Washer and dryer connections are standard in most communities; some even include the units in the rent. Electric, not gas, is standard in Texas.

Q: Are apartment communities pet friendly?
A: Most communities will accept pets, but will be restricted by breed and size. Pet fees and sometimes deposits will be required and will vary by community.

Q: Do communities offer short term leases?
A: Short term leases are available at some communities, with a premium.

Q: Do I have to move in on the first of the month?
A: No, you may move in any day, pending apartment availability.

Q: How much notice must I give to move out?
A: A thirty or sixty day written notice is required to vacate your apartment. However, there are situations in which a sixty day written notice may be required. The community will let you know this up front and it will also be on your lease.

Q: Who covers the cost of damages to my property if I’m robbed, or there is a fire or other accident?
A: You will be responsible for the cost of damages to any of your personal property. We recommend you have rental insurance for your protection.

Q: Is there ever a circumstance in which I can get out of my lease?
A: You are best to discuss this with your community manager individually.
